To start, all of the CMs who worked on the rideout team deserve a hundred cast compliments. While I had lots of anxiety in the days leading up to landfall about my choice of resort for a multi-day shutdown, I ended up being pleasantly surprised with how relatively smooth the trip went. Wanting to keep out-of-pocket expenses low, I decided to give an All-Star a try for the first time little did I know when I booked that Hurricane Ian would plow through Florida halfway through my trip. I am a DVC member, but already had my points for the year allocated elsewhere. I hope you were well paid for your greatly appreciated work. Thank you to all staff who stayed and helped over the hurricane Ian days….so brave….and I am absolutely certain they would have been far happier to have been home with their loved ones. On a nicer note, rooms really nice! Grounds kept nicely! All staff/ cast members were so nice and friendly! Disney transport buses seemed far better than previous visits. ( Started to suspect this is what Disney are hoping for lol ) It’s partly my fault also as I could have rang and asked but……Disney and Universal park days are exhausting enough and I couldn’t face ringing and awaiting supplies etc having got back late from the parks. I feel sorry for the cleaning staff as I am certain they have been cut to the bone and are working harder than ever. I am not in any way calling the housekeepers, this is a Disney cut. Day four was a full clean then after that….nothing….unless we rang reception. In 14 days we had one clean! We were advised on booking in there would be a basic clean every two days and a full clean every four days. This time, October 2022 was so different from previous stays and it was all down to housekeeping, lack of! We’ve stayed on Disney property five times over the years and always had an amazing time.
